Booking us to sing for your event… The Singing Blue Stars perform to honor our veterans—of every age. Our programs vary in length from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours, with the one-hour program being the most popular. We charge a flat rate of $400 ($450 if drive time one-way is over 40 minutes)-- no matter how long or short the performance. This money pays for gasoline, uniforms, sound equipment, performance-related rentals, equipment maintenance and musical arrangements – and allows us to donate our time to provide six free performances a year. These are usually for the VA Hospitals and fundraisers for the USS Hornet Museum. We normally perform songs of the 1940’s and 50’s. But we also sing hits of the 60’s and some from the 70’s. We will take special requests if given enough notice. Patriotic songs (as well as our national anthem) are also in our repertoire. On rare occasion we can perform during the week for a luncheon program, but it is easier for us to schedule an evening or weekend performance. All of our singers have regular jobs, and during the week it is difficult for us to arrive at an evening function much before 5:30 or 6:00 PM.
